We are excited to announce that the Operations Manager 22.11.0 release for OM2200, OM1200, CM8100 products is generally available
The 22.11.0 release offers new features and enhancements as well as fixes to known issues.
New features and enhancements
- Interactive CLI tool: This interactive Command Line Interface, first introduced in 22.06.0 release, gives customers a more familiar and guided experience for accessing, configuring and managing the OM and CM product families for everyday operations. This release completes support for all configuration endpoints (i.e parity with the API endpoints). The currently existing ogcli tool, which helps better with scripting, templating use cases remains fully supported.
- New User/Group Operations Permissions model: This new framework for user and group creation/operation replaces the current roles-based model to an access-rights based one. This offers more flexible and granular management of users and groups for admin, non-admin/port-admin, webGUI-only user profiles typically used in our customer base.
- Serial port auto-discovery enhancements: The main enhancement to the current auto-discovery feature in this release is the ability to pre-configure the login credentials for managed devices which present the credentials before the shell prompt. There are few other enhancements as well; please refer to release notes for more information
- Serial signals information and statistics display in webGUI: This was only available via CLI before this release
- Network Time Protocol (NTP) authentication: Key support enhancement
- Power monitor syslog alerts enhancement
