Release Notification - Operations Manager and Console Manager Firmware release 23.03 is Generally Available

We are excited to announce that the latest Operations Manager and Console Manager Firmware 23.03 release is now Generally Available.

New features and enhancements

• Interactive CLI enhancements

The following enhancements are included in this release for interactive CLI (Config CLI)

Update multiple configuration fields: Users can configure and update multiple fields with one command. Prior to this enhancement, users had to navigate to multiple levels to finish a configuration. With this enhancement, for example, with a single command customers can add a new user and configure the password. Another example would be editing a port and replacing the baud rate with a new value in a single configuration line. 

Configuration import and export: This release also introduces support for configuration import and export through interactive CLI. Users can export the firmware configuration to a file, import it from that file to another system/device or adopt it as a replacement.

Navigation enhancements: Tab-completion, "?" additions bring navigational assistance, while the  'help' command addition provides context-dependent configuration assistance in this release. 

• Firewall source address filtering:

This release improves the current firewall support by introducing the ability to add trusted source networks and services as well fully via the firmware user interface. Previously users had to do it utilizing Linux firewalld configuration which requires advanced Linux skills.

• Second ping failover test (or probe address test):

This capability allows our customers to add a second ping address to the Out of Band Failover test. This is the test done to test reachability before triggering failover. This update enhances the resilience by eliminating false failover scenarios which could happen with the previously supported one ping address.
