ACM5000 product line SKU reduction

In September 2013 we announced we would be rationalizing the ACM5000 product line at year end. Our goal here has been to simplify the base ACM5000 product line so all models included environmental monitoring features - and wherever possible also provided internal 4GB flash (for TFTP server and offline log storage). To do this:

• we introduced a new ACM5002-F-E model which combined all the feature of the ACM5002, ACM50002-E and ACM5002-F models (and which replaced these models). Similarly we introduced the new ACM5003-M-F-E model (to supersede ACM5003-M, ACM5003-M-E and ACM5003-M-F models) and the new ACM5004-F-E (to supersede ACM5004 and ACM5004-E models)
• we also announced that the base product line would only be supplying –I and –E versions of all the ACM5000 with integrated cellular (e.g. ACM5004-G-I) and the models without environmental monitoring (e.g. ACM5004-G) were to be superseded

The ACM5003-W / ACM5003-W-E models were the only products dropped from the ACM5000 base product line without a direct replacement. Our experience has been that WiFi is a popular feature, however our customers invariably look for wireless access point as well as client facilities - which we offer in ACM5500 and IM7200 models. Whereas the ACM5004-W only supported client mode. 

The ACM5000 models which were removed from the base product line will not be available as standard inventory item, however for scheduled projects we will happily supply these particular models- and other custom product variants. Please contact sales for details.
