TUV Rheinland Factory Inspection Cerificate
On 27 Jan 2015 TUV Rheinland of North America undertook a First Factory Inspection (FFI)of Opengear's expanded finished goods facility in Sandy, Utah - as per PD CIG 021 Factory Inspection Procedures. Our printed circuit board assembly facility in China has also been TUV inspected and approved. The TÜV Rheinland certification mark, which can be found on the compliance label on all Opengear mains powered products, shows that the products have met applicable safety requirements and quality standards. When Opengear customers see the TÜV Rheinland certification mark, they can be assured that they are buying a safe product that has been investigated to particular safety requirements by an accredited third party and is supported by regular surveillance audits.
The factory inspections confirm that all the quality and production control procedures are in place to ensure that certified products are identical, within acceptable manufacturing tolerances, to the sample against which the product certification was granted. Once a factory is approved and added to the product certificate, the TUV certification mark can be used on that product. The TUV FFI certificate for Opengear's Utah factory is attached:
