There's a wide range of hardened and protective enclosures available for mounting ACM5000-I and ACM5500-I products outdoors. For convenience Opengear offers an external plastic environmental enclosure (#509089) preconfigured for the ACM5000-I, ACM5000-I-G products.
The case is dust protected and has been tested and lists as NEMA 4X compliant. However it also is suitable for dust proof (NEMA 6P) applications. The enclosure is also spray water resistant, UV resistant and flame resistant (UL94V-0) and its IP rating is IP54. So it is suitable for most outdoor applications.
The case is 5.8" x 7.3" (14.7 x 18.5 cm) and has 6 mounting bosses in both bottom and top case. Refer Reference Drawing. It has a security lock to accommodate up to .18" diameter pin. There is also room in the enclosure to mount third party devices e.g. the top case will accept a PCB up to 7.25 x 5.75.
The case has a range of mounting option so in addition to , the Opengear NEMA enclosure kit (#509089) includes a selection of fittings:

- 3 x CAP-4016 Strain Relief, Cable 3/4" NPT 0.35" - 0.63" Dia
- 2 x CAP-4014 Strain Relief, Cable 3/4" NPT 0.39" - 0.55" Dia
- 1 x CAP-4001 Mounting Feet for NEMA Enclosure
- Assorted screws
- ACM5000 mounting plate

NEMA enclosures are rated by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), a non-profit organization that recommends safety standards for electrical equipment. Type 4X enclosures are intended for general purpose indoor and outdoor use primarily to provide a degree of protection against corrosion, windblown dust and rain, splashing water, and hose-directed water; and to be undamaged by the formation of ice on the enclosure.
