All current Opengear models support the X2 RJ45 serial pinout. Select models support both X2 and X1 (aka "Cisco Rolled") RJ45 serial pinout as a per-port software configurable option.
Opengear models using X2 pinout:
- Do not need adapters to connect to most manufacturers' RJ45 serial ports (just use a standard cat 5 UTP patch cable)
- Use the 319015 adapter to connect to most manufacturers' DB9M serial ports
