The console server can monitor the status of serially connected or USB connected or network connected Managed UPSes, and the status of any configured Remote UPSes (i.e. UPSes that are managed by remote console servers). You can also log this status locally on the console server or remotely.
- To enable status logging you must first check Log Status when you are initially configuring the Managed and/or Remote UPS in the Serial & Network: UPS Connections menu, and specify the Log Rate (minutes between samples)
- Select the Status: UPS Status menu and a table with the summary status of all connected UPS hardware will be displayed
- Click on any particular UPS System in the table and you will be presented with a more detailed graphical information on the select UPS System,
- If you select UPS Log you will be presented with a log of all status reports from all Managed UPS and Remote UPS systems. This is the status information which will be logged (externally if so configured) for all UPSes which were configured with Log Status checked
Refer Network UPS Tools for more info on the UPS management tools embedded in the console servers.
Note: You can also log user connections to the UPS by enabling the appropriate logging level in the Serial & Network: Serial Port menu (for serially connected UPSes) or in the Serial & Network: Network Hosts menu (for network connected UPSes).
