The ACM5004-G-I, ACM5504-5-G(-W)-I, IM4200-G and IM7200-Lx can provide GPS NMEA data streaming from the internal GPS /cellular modem. This data stream presents as a serial data steam on port 5 on the ACM models. For the IM4200-G and IM7200-Lx with an internal cellular modem, the NMEA data stream presents on ports 9/17/33/49 for the IM4208/16/32/48 and IM7208/16/32/48 models.
To configure for GPS requires an external GPS passive antenna (with cable) Part# 569008 to be connected to the AUX SMA connector on the ACM5004-G-I, ACM5504-5-G(-W)-I, IM4200-G. The IM7200-Lx requires an external GPS active antenna (with cable) Part# 569018 to be connected to the GPS SMA connector.
Then enable NMEA data streaming:
The Common Settings (baud rate etc) are ignored for the NMEA virtual serial port. However you can specify the Fix Frequency (i.e. this GPS fix rate determines how often GPS fixes are obtained).
You can also apply all the Console Server Mode, Syslog and Serial Bridging settings to this port.
You can use pmshell, webshell, SSH, RFC2217 or RawTCP to get at the stream e.g. using the Web Terminal:
