Refer faq306 for more details on configuring to send email and SMS notifications.
SNMP and SMTP alerts - pre V3.5.1 firmware
The basic Alert facility provided in firmware revisions pre V3.5.1 monitored the status of the console server and connected devices for specified alert events, which would then email an Alert message to a nominated email/SMS address or send an SNMP trap.
To set up an alert facility simply select Add a New Alert from the Alerts&Logging: Alerts menu and set the trigger condition e.g. the trigger can be any user connecting or disconnecting from a nominated serial port or host.
Refer faq306 for more details on configuring to send email and SMS notifications.
