How are NetOps Modules shipped?

NetOps Modules are not tightly coupled to Lighthouse software or OM node firmware – modules are installed and upgraded independently of the base system.

The Opengear development team ships the latest NetOps modules to a private repository on Docker Hub (docker.io/opengear).

Lighthouse runs its own Docker registry that may be synchronized with the upstream Docker Hub under SETTINGS > Services > NetOps Modules.  Lighthouse systems without access to the external Docker Hub server may be updated using an offline installer.

When a module is activated on a node, the node pulls the containers for that module from the Lighthouse registry, securely over Lighthouse VPN.
